Ceremony of Awarding February 16 Sci-Tech Prize, Natural Science Prize, Technical Innovation Prize, Certificate for National Top Scientist and Technician, and Best Inventor Prize for 2025 Held
A ceremony of awarding the February 16 Sci-Tech Prize, Natural Science Prize, Technical Innovation Prize, certificates of National Top Scientist and Technician, and the Prize for Best Inventor in 2025 took place at the People’s Palace of Culture on March 31, 2026. Present there were officials concerned, scientists and technicians. Diplomas and medals of the above prizes were awarded to the projects that had contributed to the country’s economic development and the improvement of the people’s living standards, and relevant prizes were given to those concerned–the diplomas and medals of the February 16 Sci-Tech Prize to ten projects, the diploma of the Natural Science Prize to one project, and the diplomas of the Technical Innovation Prize to six projects. Certificates of the February 16 Sci-Tech Prize were awarded to 134 scientists, technicians and teachers from Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other units. Certificates of the Natural Science Prize were awarded to eight researchers at the Physics Institute under the State Academy of Sciences and certificates of the Technical Innovation Prize, to 59 scientists and technicians from several units including Pyongyang University of Architecture and the Heat Engineering Institute under the State Academy of Sciences. Seven scientists and technicians from Kim Il Sung University and other units were selected as national top scientists and technicians in 2025 and awarded the relevant certificates. Three officials and researchers were awarded the Best Inventor Prize in 2025 and prizes.
